Wolves reject 12m Sunderland Fletcher bid so Wickham loan could be used to sweeten deal

Wolves have turned down Sunderland’s offer for 25-year-old Steven Fletcher of 12million, so Martin O’Neill is likely to improve his bid by offering teenage striker Connor Wickham on a season’s loan.
Wolves are holding out for their 15m asking price because Fletcher’s former club Burnley are due 15 per cent of any profit over the 7m they sold him for.
