Team Sky's winning streak at the Tour de Romandie ended on Thursday, but Bradley Wiggins retained the overall lead.

The 149.1-kilometre second stage from
Montbeliard to Moutier was won by Jonathan Hivert (Saur-Sojasun) after a
prologue triumph for Geraint Thomas and Wiggins' stage one victory.

Hivert won a sprint finish ahead of Rui Costa (Movistar) and Luis Leon Sanchez (Rabobank), while Mark Cavendish, riding for conditioning ahead of next month's Giro d'Italia, finished well back.

The race features much of Team Sky's likely Tour de France line-up and Wiggins retained the race leader's yellow jersey by seven seconds from team-mate Michael Rogers with three days of racing to go.
