Mancini reveals Man City captain Kompany will be fit for start of season despite injury scare

A scan on the injured calf of Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany has revealed no serious damage and the Belgian is expected to be fit for the Community Shield game against Chelsea a week on Sunday.
Kompany flew home early from City's tour of Asia on Sunday morning after injuring his calf against Arsenal in Beijing on Friday.

He will not play in the weekend's friendly at Wolfsburg in Germany.
But City coach Roberto Mancini said on Monday: 'I don't think its a big problem.
'He won't play in Germany but he will be OK for the game against Chelsea I think.'
