Despite the recent handball ‘cheat’ claims and the self-confessed diving storm, Liverpool striker Luis Suarez showed things are still all white in his world.

The Reds star Kopped it from his manager yesterday but he gave the critics the cold shoulder today as he posted this picture of him enjoying England’s wintry weather.

While Liverpool’s impeding charges for diving against the striker may be snow joke, at least the Uruguayan was able to enjoy himself ahead of Liverpool’s match against Norwich tomorrow.

Suarez recently admitted to falling in an attempt to win a penalty in a Premier League match against Stoke this season, a confession that landed him in hot water with manager Brendan Rodgers.

It was wrong to say what he said,’ said Rodgers. ‘It was not acceptable. This club has always kept its matters in house and that’s what we will do. But diving is not something we advocate here.’

He added: ‘I’ve spoken to Luis on it. I’m not sure it makes a big difference if we are saying he is fined one week’s, two weeks’ or four weeks’ wages.

‘This is a big club, bigger than anyone and whatever people say goes around the world. It certainly doesn’t help him but, more importantly, it doesn’t help the team.’

Suarez may be ice cool today but let's hope he warms up properly tomorrow.

John Terry took advantage of the wintry weather at the start of December to show Chelsea fans how much he loves the club.

The defender, recovering from injury, braved the cold to draw a Blues sign in the snow covered grass.

He also wrote a message to his two children, Georgie and Summer, telling them he loved them.

Terry's account on picture sharing service Instagram (under the handle @j26terry) provides fascinating access into the life of the 31-year-old centre-back.

From the inside of his Chelsea locker (they look suspiciously like women's razors, John!), to what he listens to on his car stereo and his family life, it's there for all to see.

He posted a picture of himself squaring up to Jon Walters, saying: 'I've got your back David Luiz,' after his team-mate had become involved in a scrap with the Stoke midfielder. He jokingly added: 'Walters was solid'.

Terry also said he was enjoying TV drama series Homeland (aren't we all) and dating show Take Me Out (we all have weak spots).

And as he does not have a Twitter account, this proves to be a rare glimpse what the former England captain does in his spare time.

Snow hits football – Picture special

It's snow joke for football fans as freezing weather grips Britain

Isn't this what winters used to be like I know we're pretty selective with our memories, but you can't help but think of cold spells of many years gone by when you see snow at a football ground.

And so it came to be that just as everyone was talking about a mild winter to beat all others, a big freeze gripped Britain.

Decades back, there would have been an enormous number of postponements, but in this era of undersoil heating most of the cancelled games came in the lower leagues.

Championship matches at Portsmouth and Doncaster bit the dust, while many games in League One and Two were called off. Race meetings at Sandown, Wetherby and Ffos Las were victims of the weather too.

But the Premier League was unaffected, despite the fact that snow started falling in earnest in many parts just before the traditional 3pm kick-offs.

Fans battled through snow on the way to Stoke's match against Sunderland, while the pitch had to be cleared at the Etihad Stadium ahead of Manchester City's clash with Fulham in the evening game.

Just one thing seemed missing. Where are the orange balls
