'I think it was the occasion, centre court the first time, I think I was just kind of… I think I almost psyched myself out, thinking I had to play better than what I did have to play.

'I think I just got really nervous, going for too much, and pressing instead of just working points.'

'My headphones right now for my iPod are really broken,' she added. 'I have to wiggle the wires around to try to get sound, so I think maybe I can afford new headphones. Other than that I'll probably just stick (the prizemoney) in savings.’

It is believed that an offer of 5million would be enough to encourage Caen to sell.

El Shaarawy joined Milan only last summer in a 10million co-ownership deal from Genoa, but he has struggled to hold down a regular first-team place, despite appearing against Arsenal in the Champions League last 16.

His agent Roberto La Florio told Metro: ‘Arsenal have always admired him – even before he transferred to Milan, but the Rossoneri have already agreed to his ownership, and I do not know if they’ll let him go.’

And El Shaarawy spoke of his admiration for the English game only last month.

‘Honestly, I like it a lot, both in terms of environment and football.’

El Shaarawy, who is contracted at Milan until 2016, has scored two goals in 18 appearances this season.

Real Madrid"s Jese Rodriguez unlikely to join Fulham

Fulham to miss out on Real Madrid sensation Jese after first-team promotion

Fulham's hopes of adding Real Madrid youngster Jese Rodriguez to their ranks have been scuppered by Jose Mourinho.

The Portuguese manager had been considering allowing the 18-year-old attacking midfielder to leave the La Liga leaders on a temporary basis, but now appears to want him in and around the first team.

Fulham made their interest known in January and were encouraged by their chances of securing the athletic teenager for the whole of next season.

However since then, Jese has continued to shine for Madrid's B team and looks set to build on his inclusion in the pre-season tour of America.

Fulham have been joined by West Ham in the race for the Under 19 international, according to talkSport, with both aware a permanent deal is all but impossible.

Spanish media reported that Jese, who was born on Gran Canaria, will sign a two-year professional deal soon, which is likely to include a 25m release clause.

The Premier League's top two are locked in more than just a fight for the title after it emerged the two Manchester clubs are tracking Derby's talented teen Will Hughes.

The 16 year old was playing in his first age group competition for his country, but excelled as England emerged victorious from a group including France, Holland and the hosts.

And Hughes' performances have sparked a transfer tussle in Manchester as both big-money clubs attempt to put together a competitive package to entice Derby into selling.

Hughes has only made one brief substitute appearance for the Rams – in a league defeat at Peterborough – and was still on scholarship terms when the current campaign started.
