Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish and Spurs assistant manager Kevin Bond saw the funny side on the touchline.

And Sky Sports commentator Alan Parry chuckled: 'A little cat has just found its way on to the Abfield pitch. Can it find its way off again Brad Friedel shepherding the feline in right direction.

'He's not leaving that's for sure. How on earth does a cat get into a football stadium.'

Hammer time: Ravel Morrison could be heading to West Ham

Sam Allardyce is in pole position to land 18-year-old Manchester United striker Ravel Morrison.

Morrison stunned Manchester United by demanding 30,000 a week, despite the teenager making just three first-team appearances.

Sir Alex Ferguson has expressed his exasperation with the talented but troubled 18-year-old, describing his demands as 'unrealistic'.

Sportsmail revealed last week how United have offered Morrison 12,000 a week – an amazing salary for someone so young – and while the player has denied rejecting a new offer, there is now understood to be an impasse. It is not clear if the 30,000-a week demand includes bonuses.

And with West Ham keen on the forward United could decide to sell the player.

'My driver and iron play were probably the nicest to me over the past two days. added South Korea-born Ko, who moved to New Zealand in 2003.

'I also putted well, but I was in good position on most of the greens because I was able to make approaches from good places on the fairways'

Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish makes Wilfred Zaha approach

EXCLUSIVE: Liverpool boss Dalglish makes approach for 10m Palace starlet Zaha

Kenny Dalglish has made his opening
move for Wilfried Zaha after making a personal call to Crystal Palace
manager Dougie Freedman.

Liverpool are in the running to sign
the 10million-rated forward having kept tabs on the England Under-19
international for 18 months.

And Sportsmail can reveal that Dalglish has contacted Freedman with regards to the Anfield club’s interest in Zaha.

During the phone call, Dalglish asked the Eagles manager more about the 19-year-old’s character than his footballing ability.

Dalglish’s contact is a precursor to Liverpool’s attempts to lure Zaha to Merseyside this month.

Sportsmail can also reveal that Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has also spoken to Freedman about Zaha and that Manchester City’s Roberto Mancini is a big admirer of the player.

But Ferguson feels an immediate move to the top-flight for Zaha would be too premature.

Palace fully expect Liverpool to initiate official contact with them in the coming days as they look to win the race for the teenage sensation.

Sportsmail revealed yesterday how Newcastle were set to open talks with the Selhurst Park club over their interest in Zaha.

Freedman has been assured by co-owner Steve Parish that Zaha will not leave south London until at least after the Carling Cup semi-final second leg against Cardiff on January 24.

And booking their first trip to Wembley since 1997 could help Freedman hold on to Zaha until at least the summer.

But failure to reach the final could see Palace cash-in on the teenager – who only recently signed a five-and-a-half year contract – ahead of the transfer deadline.

Chelsea eye Lucas Ocampos

Chelsea are chasing Argentine teenage wing sensation Lucas Ocampos.

The Blues have kept tabs on the 17-year-old, who is rated at 8million by River Plate.

Ocampos has also attracted interest from Manchester United.

River claimed recently that they have rejected a bid of 15m for Ocampos from Inter Milan.

Vice president Diegoe Turnes said last month that the club didn't want to sell in this month's transfer window.

He said: 'We have had offers from Italy and England but the kid will not leave the club.'

A big money offer from Chelsea could change that, either now or possibly in the summer.

'Ba is a Newcastle player and that's all I want to say': Pardew angered by talk of striker's departure

Newcastle boss Alan Pardew has delivered a frosty response to speculation over striker Demba Ba's future on Tyneside.

The 50-year-old was dismayed to read stories suggesting Tottenham could be ready to activate a release-clause in the Senegal international's contract this month after a stunning 15-goal start to his Magpies' career.

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp was asked about the 26-year-old, and his reply sparked a frenzy of rumours.

However, asked about the matter today, a terse Pardew said: 'I thought, listening to the conversation, that the media tripped him up a little bit, Harry.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is looking forward to 2012

Chamber the cartridge! Oxlade-Chamberlain is gunning for great 2012

Arsenal”s teenage sensation Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is gearing up for a starring role in 2012.

The youngster is delighted with how things turned out for him in 2011, but knows there are bigger and better things to come for him in the year ahead.

“I’m looking forward to 2012 and hopefully it can bring good things for this club and for me personally,” said the 18-year-old.

“It’s been exciting for me this year joining Arsenal, I’ve loved every minute of it so far and I wouldn’t change a thing.”

Oxlade-Chamberlain made his Premier League and Champions League debuts this year, managing two goals in six appearances for the Gunners.

The tricky winger says he has benefited hugely from his manager Arsene Wenger”s advice, and knows he will keep developing under his tutelage.

“The stuff he says to me, to the team just makes so much sense,” he said.

“It’s just little things like that you can always pick up stuff.

“The main thing he’s said to me is that I’ve got the ability to play at this level and it’s just how much I want it. That just sums it up for me really.

“I know I just have to keep working hard, get my head down and keep pushing to put pressure on him to select me.

“It’s encouraging to hear him say that to me because it’s always good advice. If it’s criticism, it’s always constructive and I do go away and listen.

“My relationship with him since I’ve been here has been very good, the same with Pat Rice too. I’m still young and I’m learning.”

Newcastle want Wilfried Zaha for 10m

Newcastle in a hurry with 10m bid to sign Palace”s England U21 star Zaha

Newcastle want to sign Crystal Palace’s 10m-rated teenage sensation Wilfried Zaha in the January transfer window.

Zaha’s electrifying performance in Palace’s Carling Cup victory at Manchester United last month has convinced Toon manager Alan Pardew that he is good enough for the Barclays Premier League.

Dougie Freedman’s side have told the striker to wait for a top-four Premier League team to come in for him before he even considers quitting Selhurst Park.

But Pardew has been promised that there is money to spend at Newcastle in the transfer window and Zaha has become their principal target. The 19-year-old is about to sign a new five-and-a-half-year contract at Palace and the club insist the Ivory Coast-born forward is not for sale.

They have a two-legged Carling Cup semi-final against Cardiff in the new year and also want to push on for the Championship play-offs.

Despite Palace’s intention to hold on to their star player, Newcastle remain undeterred and will make their move in January.

Zaha is already established in England’s Under 19 team, but he was watched by Under 21 manager Stuart Pearce during last week’s 2-1 defeat at Barnsley. Pearce is preparing to promote him to his squad next year.

Andy Hooper: My favourite image of the week… Jonnie Peacock

EveryMonday, Wednesday and Friday, Sportsmail”s top snappers Andy Hooper, Graham Chadwick and Kevin Quigley will be showcasing their favourite image of the week.

Award-winning photographer Hooper chooses this stunning capture of London 2012 hopeful Jonnie Peacock as his standout selection…

Blade runner- Jonnie Peacock, the 18 year old from Cambridge, looks set to meet South African sensation Oscar Pistorius in the 100m (T44) at the London 2012 Paralympics.

When photographing Peacock last week at the Lee Valley Athletics Centre, on a sunny winter day, I had it in mind to shoot some outdoor action pictures of him on the track.

Things rarely go as planned in this job and Jonnie told me he was injured so couldn’t run outside.

As luck would have it, just as he was telling me this I noticed there was a lovely pool of natural light on the second bend of the indoor track. I decided to position him in a classic stance in this late afternoon light.

I like the warm feel the natural light brings to this image and the shadow it casts on the track.

Its makes a change to be using natural light for features at this time of year and not relying on using artificial photographic lights.
