Thierry Henry could be set for a third stint with Arsenal as he trained with the Gunners at their Colney base on Friday.

The club's record goal-scorer is just keeping fit during the MLS off-season and, as yet, no playing deal has been signed.

But Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger hasn't given on securing the French forward on loan next month.

'I've not lost interest in him,' said Wenger.

He added: 'He's still coming to practice with us. We are very close (personally), but at the moment I think he has had a second spell at the club that was very successful. You have to be cautious that it's not one time too many.

'I have not completely ruled it out but I haven’t spoken about it with him at all.'

Henry scored the only goal in Arsenal’s FA Cup tie with Leeds when he was on loan at the Emirates Stadium in January before netting the winner in 2-1 league win over Sunderland.

David Beckham in talks over MLS ownership

David Beckham is in talks to become
the owner of a Major League Soccer club in the United States and is
expected to buy a controlling interest in a team based in New York,
Miami or Los Angeles.

But contrary to reports from the US
that Beckham will be part of deal involving Manchester City buying an
MLS franchise in New York, sources close to the former England captain
told Inside Sport: 'That's not really a partnership he'd envisage.'

Beckham, 37, is a lifelong Manchester United fan who played for the Old Trafford club for 10 years before moving to Real Madrid and then LA Galaxy. In his final match for Galaxy earlier this month, he helped them to win the MLS Cup. He is considering his next move and may play for one last club for a short period before turning his attention to club ownership in the US.

Sources say Beckham is likely to buy a controlling stake in an MLS team in partnership with Simon Fuller, the entertainment entrepreneur whose company, XIX Entertainment, represents Beckham.

City have denied reports that owner Sheik Mansour is close to sealing a $100million deal to buy a New York-based MLS 'partner club' for City in Queens, east of Manhattan.'Manchester City are not buying an MLS club,' said a statement.

The idea that City might explore buying overseas clubs or working in partnership with them is far from fanciful. Two years ago, the club's then chief executive, Garry Cook, held 'very preliminary discussions' with MLS commissioner Don Garber over a possible tie-up that could fit into City's 'international expansion'.

Cook's replacement, Ferran Soriano, formerly with Barcelona, previously held talks with the MLS about a Barcelona-owned MLS club, and has written supportively about big clubs having 'franchise' partners in other leagues.

Ticket touts were prevented from making a killing on the summer's Olympics after a major police clampdown but they are having a last hurrah for 2012 by reselling seats for tonight's BBC Sports Personality of the Year show at up to 10 times face value.

The BBC sold around 13,000 tickets to members of the public at 50 each for the glitzy bash at ExCel in east London, where Bradley Wiggins is hot favourite to pick up the main award.

A BBC spokeswoman said that ticket terms and conditions prohibited reselling. But it is not illegal to resell tickets for such events.

Ticket brokers on Seatwave, Viagogo and eBay were among those advertising tickets at massively inflated prices.

At Seatwave, a pair of tickets worth 100 at face value were being offered for a total 1,197.65, including a 179.64 booking fee, 4.94 handling charge and 15.06 insurance.

Viagogo had tickets for 240 each plus 72 booking fee per pair plus 4.95 shipping, while eBay had a variety of seats from 180 each.

The future of the New York Marathon – the world's largest – is uncertain after entry registration for the 2013 event, due to open on Wednesday, was indefinitely suspended. This came as race organisers continue talks with insurers over the circumstances in which the 2012 event was called off in the wake of Hurricane Sandy.

The race was cancelled not because it was impossible to stage but because it was deemed inappropriate. This may affect any insurance payout and, with entrants claiming refunds, the organisers' ability to plan for next year has been severely hit.

Frank Lampard's hopes of heading out to the US to play in the MLS have been dealt another blow after David Beckham told his former club LA Galaxy to sign Real Madrid midfielder Kaka.

The 35-year-old midfielder had looked set to leave Chelsea in January with the Galaxy exploring ways of bringing Beckham's former England team-mate to the club.

But last week Tim Leiweke – the President of AEG, the company that owns the Galaxy – revealed that the club were looking to lure the Brazilian to the MLS, a move which Beckham has now thrown his weight behind.

'If there were any chance of bringing Kak to Galaxy, I’m sure that the owners would do everything possible to make it happen,' said Beckham.

After his brief return to the club in January, Thierry Henry is targeting another stint at Arsenal, this time as manager.

The north London legend, who is the club's leading goalscorer, currently plies his trade in the MLS with New York Red Bulls.

But his attention has already turned to the future, with him claiming it would be 'a dream' to return to Emirates Stadium, with a place on the coaching staff a possibility beforehand.

When asked by a fan, through newspaper USA Today, if he fancied a stint in the dugout, Henry said: 'You know what I might. Now do you think I would be a good one You can never tell. I actually don’t know if that would be an option. I know I will be in the game for sure. Why not Sure.

'Everyone knows the love I have for Arsenal Football Club, so you know it goes without saying where. That’s a dream.'

Henry enjoyed a short spell back at the club he left in 2007, scoring three goals in seven appearances, including the winner at Sunderland and, famously, the decisive goal against Leeds in the FA Cup.

Reflecting on the vintage strike against the Championship outfit, he added: 'It was the first time – put the national team aside – it was the first time I scored a goal as a fan of the team [I scored for].

'You know especially the love I have for the club and the love I have for the people working at the club, I said it, I never felt what I felt after that goal in my whole entire career.

'It's too much to describe. I know I’ve never felt that before.'

And, amid reports that the 31-year-old striker is homesick, Villa will head a queue of clubs in the frame to bring him back to England.

Keane has scored three goals in six appearances, including two against rivals Wolves, for Villa but will return to Los Angeles next week to prepare for the new MLS season.

But, according to The Sun, he will consider his options again in the summer.

It's 'unreal' to be back, says Henry after sealing emotional return to Arsenal

Thierry Henry revealed his joy after completing his return to Arsenal.

The Gunners legend has agreed a two-month loan switch from US side New York Red Bulls.

He said: 'It is unreal to be honest. But when it comes to Arsenal my heart will always do the talking.

'Once I knew the plan behind it I was
OK with it. I am not coming here to be a hero or prove anything. I am
just coming here to help. People have to understand that.

'Marouane and Gervinho are going to
the Africa Cup of Nations, so I was asked to fill in the gap. It is a
loan deal and I’ll be on the bench most of the time. If I can make the
bench that is!

'The boss has a team here already who are doing something good. I am just going to be part of the squad.

'I want to send a message to the fans
of New York Red Bulls as well. I always said I would not play in Europe
again. But it is hard for me when it comes to Arsenal.

Boss Arsene Wenger said: 'I am very
happy. It was my desire and Thierry’s desire. We will have Thierry for
January and in February. Then he will go back to the United States.

'I am sure during these two months he
will be a massive asset to the team in the dressing room and on the
pitch. He can be relaxed, not under too much pressure and be a
tremendous help to the team.'

The switch was held up over negotiations over his insurance package but it has now been agreed.

The loan deal has been signed until February 16, although Arsenal have the option of a further 10 days.

The deal had to be completed by midday on Friday if they wanted him to be available for the FA Cup third-round clash with Leeds on Monday.

Arsenal host Championship side Leeds at the Emirates and Henry is expected to play a role in the game.

He has a spectacular
scoring record of 11 goals in as many games against Leeds.

A picture of Henry in the latest Arsenal shirt was accidently posted on the club's official website last week.

The image at first appeared in a story in which current star striker Robin van Persie heaped praise on the new arrival, before it was replaced by a previously released image of Henry in training.
