New Arsenal signing Santi Cazorla ex-Gunners captain
Cesc Fabregas bagged the goals as Spain eased past Puerto Rico 2-1.

Marc Cintron pulled one back for the hosts in the 65th minute.

Germany had goalkeeper Ron-Robert Zieler sent off after half an hour as they crashed to a 3-1 friendly defeat to Argentina in Frankfurt.

Zieler was dismissed for a foul on
Jose Sosa and, although replacement Marc ter Stegen saved Lionel Messi's
resulting penalty, the visitors did not take long to seize the lead.

Sami
Khedira put through an own goal in first-half injury time to set
Argentina on their way and further second-half goals from Messi and
Angel di Maria sealed the win before Benedikt Howedes' late consolation.

Holland continued their poor form heading out of a disappointing Euro 2012 as they fell 4-2 at neighbours Belgium.

Luciano Narsingh and Klaas Jan Huntelaar had cancelled out Christian Benteke's early opener for the home side, but further goals from Dries Mertens, Romelu Lukaku and Jan Vertonghen gave the Belgians an excellent win.

There were no such concerns for Brazil,
who beat Sweden 3-0 in Solna with the first from Leandro Damiao on 32
minutes and a brace in the final six minutes from Alexandre Pato.

Croatia were stunned 4-2 by Switzerland in Split, with Mario Gavranovic's double helping the Swiss to victory, while Russia were held 1-1 in Moscow by the Ivory Coast, Alan Dzagoev's opener cancelled out late by Mark Gradel.

France were held to a goalless draw by Uruguay in Le Havre, as were Serbia by the Republic of Ireland in Belgrade.

Konstantin Vassiljev's injury-time goal gave Estonia a 1-0 home win over disappointing Euro 2012 co-hosts Poland.

Jordan Rhodes needed just 29 minutes to
net on his debut as Scotland came from behind to beat Australia 3-1 in
Edinburgh, while Greece eased to an impressive 3-2 win over Norway in
Oslo.

Nelson Oliveira and Cristiano Ronaldo got the goals as Portugal beat 10-man Panama 2-0 at the Estadio do Algarve.

Oliveira beat two men before lashing
the ball into the top corner on the half-hour mark and, after Gabriel
Gomez was sent off early in the second half for a clash with Joao
Moutinho, Ronaldo turned to fire home moments later.

Russia piled on the misery for embattled Italy with a 3-0 victory in Friday's international friendly in Zurich's Letzigrund stadium.

Alexander Kerzhakov put the Russians in front on the hour mark, having been denied by the post in the first half.

Roman Shirokov made it 2-0 with 15 minutes remaining and added his second at the death to give the Dick Advocaat-coached team a win in the Euro 212 warm-up game.

Manchester City forward Mario Balotelli played the entire game but could not find a breakthrough as Italy, who had gone unbeaten in qualifying, slipped to their third straight friendly defeat.

Italy coach Cesare Prandelli had wanted a strong performance as his team's game against Luxembourg earlier in the week was cancelled following an earthquake in the northern part of the country.

But the Azzurri struggled defensively and were made to pay in their last game before they take on Spain on June 10.

Italy had a nightmare week, with a match-fixing investigation disrupting their preparations.

Prandelli played Balotelli alongside Antonio Cassano in attack and Italy almost went ahead early on when Balotelli chested down Andrea Pirlo's long ball and his right-footed strike forced Russia goalkeeper Vyacheslav Malafeev to make a save.

Russia came closest in the ninth minute when Shirokov found Kerzhakov in the left side of the area and his strike beat Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon but struck the post.

The Russians continued to press forward and on the half-hour mark, Konstantin Zyryanov wasted a good chance when he sent the ball high and wide from 10 yards out.

Andrey Arshavin then fed Yuri Zhirkov and his goalbound effort was kept out by Buffon.

Before half-time, Pirlo's free-kick went just over the bar.

Both teams made a goalkeeping substitution after the restart, with Morgan De Sanctis replacing Buffon and Igor Akinfeev taking Malafeev's place.
Italy showed more spark up front but Balotelli's header from Claudio Marchisio's cross was off target.

Marchisio should have put Italy in front after he beat the offside trap and surged into the area but he was unable to beat Akinfeev in a one-on-one.
Cassano then missed an easy tap-in from Balotelli's cross as Italy wasted another good chance.

Russia took the lead when Shirokov found Kerzhakov in the box and his right-footed shot towards the bottom left corner of goal beat De Sanctis.
Prandelli brought on Antonio Di Natale and Sebastian Giovinco to spark his team but Russia struck again.

A misunderstanding between Leonardo Bonucci and De Sanctis allowed Arshavin to intercept a back-pass from Christian Maggio and the ball ended up falling to Shirokov, who made no mistake when faced with an unguarded goal.

Italy's night got worse when Maggio failed to clear substitute Alexander Kokorin's cross-shot, leaving an unmarked Shirokov to head the ball past De Sanctis.

Roman Shirokov struck twice to power Zenit St Petersburg to a 3-2 win over Benfica in freezing conditions in their Champions League last 16 first-leg tie.

The midfielder equalised for the Russian champions in the 27th minute with a low volley into the far corner shortly after Maxi Pereira had put the visitors ahead following a free kick, and he grabbed the winner two minutes from time.
