Liverpool are keen on Hamburg's South Korea forward Son Heung-min.
The 20-year-old has started the season well with the Bundesliga outfit and can play either on the wing or up front.
Liverpool are in desperate need of firepower with Luis Suarez the only proven top-class forward available to boss Brendan Rodgers. Fabio Borini, a 10million summer signing from Roma, has not yet found the net in the Premier League.

Everton want to sign Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Fabian Giefer in the summer, according to the players' agent.
But Toffees boss David Moyes faces competition from
German giants Bayern Munich, who are interested in snapping up the
21-year-old as cover for Manuel Neuer.
Interest: Everton manager David Moyes
Giefer, who is currently back up to Bernd Leno at Leverkusen, has just over a year left on his contract.
'Fabi has got four alternatives,” his representative Tobias Sander told German newspaper Bild.
'Bayern Munich, Fortuna Dusseldorf, SpVgg Greuther Furth and Everton.
'It will be a gut decision in the end. Bayern Munich definitely has a special status. The training facilities, as much as the atmosphere at the club, are just a class in their own.'
