Liverpool keeper Pepe Reina took time out from preparing for crucial World Cup qualifiers to show off his acting skills.

The Spaniard, who is in line to make a rare appearance for the Roja after first choice Iker Casillas was ruled out of the upcoming matches against Finland and France, donned classic Roman garb to star as a soldier in a new short-film called 'Invictus, el correo del Cesar.'

The film is directed by Javier Fesser, who has won three Baftas including Best Director and Best Original
Screenplay for 'The Way' in 2008 and Best Live Action Short Film for
'That ritmillo' in 1995.

The film's premiere was held in Madrid on Monday and Spanish stars David Villa, Xavi, Cesc Fabregas and Jordi Alba were among the audience.

The film is being bankrolled by insurance company Plus Ultra Seguros, who also use Reina to front their advertising campaigns.

Reina also used his trip to Spain to reiterate his commitment to Liverpool after being linked as a potential replacement for wantaway Victor Valdes.

'[A move to Barcelona] is not in my hands and the rumour mongering is part of that,' Reina told Spanish newspaper AS. 'They're such a great club, but I'm happy at Liverpool.'

Kimi Raikkonen to stay at Lotus in 2013

Kimi gimme one more year! Raikkonen will stay at Lotus in 2013

Speculation surrounding Kimi Raikkonen's future has ended after Lotus announced he will stay at the team next year.

Lotus made the announcement in a video posted on youtube that the 2007 title with Ferrari will remain after making his return to F1 from rallying this season.

'We're delighted Kimi is staying with us for 2013,' the British-based team said on their official Twitter feed (@Lotus-F1Team) after posting a link to the film clip.

The Finn has been the most consistent driver on the grid, with 14 successive scoring finishes and every racing lap completed. He has been on the podium six times in 2012.

The 33-year-old is third in the championship, 67 points off the lead, with three races to go despite not having won yet this season.

Team principal Eric Boullier told reporters after Sunday's Indian Grand Prix that neither Raikkonen nor French team mate Romain Grosjean were likely to win any of the season's final three races.

'Realistically I would be kidding people if I said we would win a race this year,' he said.

'Yes I can be frustrated at not getting this missing, or elusive, win but we had a good start to the season with a new package and two new drivers. If you put us in the same position next year then it will be a different story.'

Raikkonen was seventh in India, Grosjean ninth. Boullier said an announcement on the full driver line-up could be expected soon.

Grosjean, despite several first corner crashes of the kind that got him suspended for the Italian Grand Prix in September, is almost certain to be kept on as well.

Wayne Rooney in James Bond Skyfall parody

He's left defences shaken and stirred for over a decade, so this was a natural role for Wayne Rooney.

Take the best bits from the trailer for the new James Bond film Skyfall and, with all the genius and cunning of an M16 boffin, replace Daniel Craig with Bond… Wayne Bond.

We see our all-action hero, deep undercover from his day duties working for Manchester United and England, infiltrating a hair transplant lab and bringing down legions of bad guys.

Fellow 'spies' Ryan Giggs and Patrice Evra also feature in the video – commissioned by the Huffington Post Comedy channel – as the spoof pulls together clips from the many adverts Rooney has starred in.

We see Judi Dench as M in the new Bond film, which premieres on Tuesday night, tapping out an obituary after Rooney goes missing in action.

When he shows up at headquarters, she demands: 'Where the hell have you been' Rooney replies in his most un-Bond accent: 'Spain, Brazil… erm, Italy.'

Cue the explosive action sequence, with Rooney blowing up helicopters and buildings for fun.

There's even a nod to the famous scene where Bond discovers Goldfinger and his accomplice Oddjob have cheated at golf.

M gets a message on her laptop which reads: 'Just found the hair transplant clinic!!!' before the clip cuts to the Nike commercial from the 2010 World Cup which portrays Rooney as a gypsy.

At the end, a philosophical Rooney says: 'They say he is a legend' before the clip ends with 'Wayne Rooney is Awfull.'
