Frank Lampard will bag up to 4million a year in wages if he moves to LA Galaxy.

The Chelsea midfielder has been told to find another club and could now pocket the same salary as David Beckham if he moves to the MLS, according to the Sun Sunday.

Lampard could also bank an extra $1m (619,000) in merchandise sales, and has been touted as the perfect replacement for Becks. Accepting the deal would make him the highest-paid footballer in MLS.

The 34-year old will be considering is future swiftly, since Chelsea advised him he can leave from January 1.

Lampard and his fiance Christine Bleakley thought to have arranged their June wedding in her native Northern Ireland, but a State-side move in 2013 could be an exciting one for television presenter Christine.

Emile Heskey"s sons come out to play in Newcastle Jets shirts

Like father, like sons: Heskey's boys strut their stuff in Newcastle Jets strips

Emile Heskey may have moved to Australia to play for the Newcastle Jets, but maybe in a few years his name will be on the back of an England shirt once more.

Not Emile's specifically of course, because although he is setting off on a new venture Down Under it would take the most dramatic striking crisis of all time to see him earn a Three Lions recall.

But his sons Reigan and Jaden got kitted up and came out to strut their stuff as Heskey met his Jets team-mates and did some training and a photoshoot at Hunter Stadium while his fiance Chantelle Tagoe watched.

It was, in fact, for family reasons that Heskey decided to move to the Jets.

'They spoke to me about being a
family-oriented club, and I'm from Leicester so I know what that feels
like and that's where it all started for me,' explained Heskey.

'I had interest from Greece, Turkey; I know this is a little bit further away but it's something that just felt right.'

The 34-year-old has taken Australia by
storm with sales of his No 9 shirt so high that stocks have run out and
5,000 more ordered in.

Although often a figure of fun in
England due to his low goalscoring rate, Heskey is now one of the
A-League's biggest stars, along with Alessandro Del Piero, who has just
signed for Sydney.

The striker, who scored seven goals in 62 England games believes he'll be able to find the net more regularly in a Jets shirt.

Heskey said: 'I know there's a lot of talent here, but hopefully I can slot in and do well.

'I know everyone around the world
watches the Premier League. But you don't realise how big it is because
you're still in that bubble, until you come out of it you don't actually
realise how big it is.

'Even before (Del Piero) there were
players coming down here like 'Yorkey', who I spoke to about it and he
loved it. Robbie Fowler loved it.

'I know Harry Kewell, obviously he's
Aussie but he absolutely loved it as well. Franny Jeffers came as well.
So players like that, there will be more and more coming over here.'

Amir Khan sorry after posting Twitter picture with cash in front of pole dancer

Khan says sorry after posting Twitter picture of him holding a wad of cash next to a scantily-clad pole dancer in Las Vegas

Amir Khan has admitted he was 'silly' to post an online photo of him holding a wad of cash in front of a woman dancing on a pole in a Las Vegas nightclub.

The former world champion, who is a devout Muslim, put the photo on Twitter with the accompanying message reading: 'Let's play lol.'

But Khan, 25, deleted the picture after followers accused him of being disrespectful to his fiance Faryal Makhdoom and setting a bad example to fellow Muslims.

He has now issued an apology in which he claimed the cash he is pictured holding was
fake, and that the woman on the pole was not a stripper but a woman
performing 'acrobatics'.

After he put the photo up, Miss Makhdoom, 20, tweeted 'Ew. Woke up to something very disgusting & disturbing.'

She quickly downplayed her reaction adding: 'Oh well! I'll still smile through my day. Hehe.'

But when the backlash started against Khan, who she met in July last year, she then took to her Twitter account defending her husband-to-be.

The New York student tweeted: 'Everyone needs to take a chill pill. I am aware of everything my man does. Thanks for the concern. However, there's a big difference between a strip club & a normal club. I think most clubs in Vegas do have pole dancers. Even I knew that lol.'

'Also, a relationship is all about trust, not stupid stuff like this lol.'

But she was forced to retaliate when a Twitter user wrote: 'Tut tut. What's the world coming to.

Miss Makhdoom reposted the tweet and wrote: 'Aw, were u there to witness it all Lol damn, I

This morning Kahn took to his Twitter page to apologise – although he ended up reposting the offending photo next to his statement.

'Hi everyone, I want to apologise for the picture I tweeted last week. I admit It was silly of me, but I wanted to make some things clear, first the money I held was fake money the club put on our table and the girl in the back is not a stripper, she was doing acrobatics on the pole.

'It is not a strip club. I wud never spend or waste money that way. I was in a club as a guest but believe I did nothing wrong, that's why I tweeted the picture myself in the first place.'

Just one of the angry tweets Khan received said: 'Sort urself out Amir, when mrs sees this u be knocked out first round.'

Khan later tweeted: 'Just blocked over 100 people on Twitter for talking rubbish.'

In January the couple made their engagement official by exchanging rings
in front of 1,000 of their nearest and dearest at a lavish engagement
party.

They celebrated with a 150,000 bash at the Bolton Wanderers' Reebok Stadium.

Friends
including Ricky Hatton watched as Khan presented his wife-to-be with a
100,000 platinum ring encrusted with three diamonds.

In return, Ms Makhdoom gave Khan a platinum ring.

During a visit to her family in New York Khan gushed: 'A lot of girls back home have said to me, “Your girl is beautiful” – and that's great because people can be so jealous.'

Meanwhile Khan has vowed to make it third time lucky after Manny Pacquiao dropped his WBO welterweight title to Timothy Bradley.

Pacquiao, a close friend of Khan's was beaten for the first time in seven years.

Khan, who intends to step up to welterweight after facing Danny Garcia on July 14, has thrown his hat into the ring after twice seeing a fight with Bradley fall through.

Road to recovery: Muamba has left the hospital in London

Bolton star Fabrice Muamba has taken to his Twitter account for the first time since his cardiac arrest to thank fans for their support.

The 24-year-old midfielder, who was unconscious for three days after collapsing on the pitch during his team's FA Cup quarter-final match against Tottenham last month, has stunned medical professionals with his recovery.

He also sent a good luck message to his team-mates, writing on Twitter: 'Thank u so much 4 ur prayers, love and support. Good 2 be back on twitter. Hoping BWFC pick up 3pts today, come on lads we can do this.'

Muamba's heart stopped beating naturally for 78 minutes after his cardiac arrest on March 17 at White Hart Lane.

While he was recovering at the London Chest Hospital, his fiance Shauna Magunda reassured Muamba's many fans by posting a photograph of the smiling footballer on his Twitter page.

Before today, the last message Muamba had written himself on Twitter was on the day of his collapse, when he said he was just reaching the London football stadium.

The devout Christian was fit enough to walk out of hospital just a month after his ordeal, although it is not yet known if he will play professional football again.

Ennis reveals secret tactic to achieve Olympic gold: Be rude to family and friends!

Jessica Ennis has revealed her focus on Olympic glory in London will necessitate being 'rude' to friends and family.

Ennis is desperate to win gold on home soil this summer, especially after losing her world heptathlon and pentathlon titles in the space of seven months.

The 26-year-old had enjoyed a long unbeaten run until finishing second behind Russia's Tatyana Chernova in Daegu last year, while even a personal best was not enough to retain her World Indoor title in Istanbul, where Olympic champion Nataliya Dobrynska returned to form with a new world record.

And that means Ennis will be more focused than ever when she competes in London in August, where her parents, sister and fiance Andy will be in attendance.

'If I step out into the stadium I don't look for my family and friends and if I do catch their eye I completely ignore them,' said Ennis, speaking at the launch of Jaguar's Academy for Sport, of which she is an ambassador.

'I want to stay so focused so I blank them out and probably come across as quite rude.

'It can be a distraction, you just have to blank them out. You don't want any other thoughts creeping into your head, anything that just slightly distracts you is a big negative.

'I don't even know where they are sat most of the time, but they'll just catch your eye and I'm like, 'Damn, I don't want to see them!' They know the deal, that I'm trying to compete and it's not about waving to the crowd and smiling to my family so they understand.'

Ennis is relishing the pressure of competing in a home Games as Britain's athletes look to meet their target of eight medals, one of them gold.

But she admits it is a good idea for the team to escape the hype at home by spending time in a holding camp in Montegordo in Portugal immediately before the Games.

'I think the holding camp is a great idea,' the Sheffield athlete added. 'It's a great set up in Montegordo. It will be great just to get away out of the country, you are not switching your TV and seeing everything and you escape from it a bit.

'That will be the only time I get away before the Games.'

Fight night: Khan takes on Lamont Peterson on Saturday

Our boy Amir is growing up but not even marriage, which is imminent, will change him until he has conquered the hard old game of boxing.

Not for a few years yet.

Master Khan celebrates his 25th birthday on Thursday, two days before he defends his world light-welterweight title against home favourite Lamont Peterson.

The Olympic silver medallist from Bolton is engaged to a New York student but such has been his dedication to his 10-week training camp he has not yet been able to give Faryal Makhdoom the sparkling diamond ring he has already bought.

Khan says: ‘I always keep my personal life separate from my sport. Everyone in the family understands that fighting comes first for me until I’ve achieved my ambitions. My fiancee met me as a boxer and she realises the sacrifices involved.’

Miss Makhdoom is making the short trip from the Big Apple to here for the fight on Saturday night which should further enhance Khan’s growing reputation here.

But it is not certain she will watch him live in the ring for the first time. She may stay in the hotel with Khan’s mother, who does not like to see her boy beaten up… or even beating up any other boys.
