Carlos Tevez has been driving officials at Manchester City round the bend recently.

And Roberto Mancini will no doubt be fuming to discover his star striker is back behind the wheel just days after admitting to a court that he was caught without insurance while disqualified.

But the Italian need not worry, because while Tevez serves a six-month ban from driving on the road, he was been getting his vehicle fix around the golf course.

Are you sure you're allowed to do that, Carlos Just days after being banned from driving, Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez was back -behind the wheel. Luckily for his legal team, it was only a golf buggy

The 29-year-old
was found guilty at Macclesfield Magistrates’ Court in Cheshire last
week and was ordered to pay 1,145 in court costs, as well as a fine, on
top of the driving sanctions and added punishment of community service,
which he started on Friday.

Tevez was on the golf course 24 hours after starting his sentence, for which he must complete 250 hours.

The Argentine arrived for his
cleaning duties in a 100,000 Porsche, chauffeur-driven to the site in
Cheshire where he was soon informed that he would be cleaning a 30ft
storage container owned by the Probation Service, according to The Sun.

He worked for two hours cleaning
equipment including brushes, wheelbarrows, lawnmowers and spades. Maybe
that's why he thought it was a good idea to scrub up on his golf skills,
too.

Tim Howard and Everton strip off for calendar

Everton's new strip is one for the ladies as Toffees get their kit off in charity calendar

Move over Calendar Girls… here are Goodison Park’s Calendar Boys as you have never seen them before.

Everton has always been a club eager to try innovative things to raise money for charity, such as when they launched a limited edition pink kit to raise awareness for breast cancer, and they have done it again in time for Christmas.

David Moyes’ squad have shed their clothes and inhibitions to pose for a calendar titled ’12 shades of Blue’ to raise money for the club’s official charity, Everton in the Community, which is in its 25th year.

Model behaviour: Tim Howard

Abs-olutely: The Everton calendar

Tim Howard, Phil Neville, Kevin
Mirallas and Marouane Fellaini are among those players who have been
captured in varying states of undress – football equipment, rather than
flowers and cupcakes, preserve their modesty – for a calendar, which is
aimed at Everton’s female fans.

The limited edition print, which is the first to be produced by a Barclays Premier League club, is available from November 22.

It costs 10 and all proceeds go
towards Everton in the Community’s ambition of generating 1million for
underprivileged and vulnerable people on Merseyside.

‘Shooting the calendar was lots of
fun and myself and the other boys were happy to help out,’ said United
States goalkeeper Howard.

'It’s a great feeling to do something
to help other people and I hope sales of the calendar raise a good
amount for the charity.’

The hashtag #12shadesofblue was
trending on Twitter and many orders have been placed without people
having seen the risque shots.

Mario Balotelli prank on Manchester City photographer

That's a bit flash! City photographer falls victim to Mario's latest prank

UPDATED:

16:31 GMT, 20 August 2012

New season, same old Mario. It may have been a day to set the benchmark for the year to come, but the Premier League's favourite prankster still found time for some mischief on the opening afternoon.

His hi-jinx didn't involve fireworks this time, but a flash of a different kind as he grabs an expensive piece of camera equipment from Manchester City's club photographer Sharon Latham.

Just before the champions' opening match against Southampton, the unpredictable striker is filmed strolling down the tunnel at the City of Manchester Stadium, casually hi-fiving the young mascots.

Meanwhile, Latham is crouched on the floor snapping away at him. The switch in Balotelli's mischievous mind goes and he reaches out for the flash, almost dragging the photographer with him as she tries to cling on.

And with a broad smile on his face, the Italian then twists of the lens and walks off the to changing room.

The embarrassed Latham doesn't know where to look and can only laugh at the prank.

The referee Howard Webb, walking down the tunnel behind Balotelli, struggles to hide a smirk as he walks past.

Balotelli came on for the last 20 minutes of City's 3-2 opening day win against Southampton as a replacement for David Silva.

He reportedly twisted his knee in a pre-match warm down, though City officials played down the extent of the injury.

He's likely to see plenty of match action in the coming weeks as strike partner Sergio Aguero was injured during the game.

England clash is final test for goal-line technology

Over the line! Wembley clash is final test for goal-line technology

|

UPDATED:

20:53 GMT, 2 June 2012

Football finally embraced 21st century technology on Saturday when FIFA used the England-Belgium friendly at Wembley as the latest test run for Hawk-Eye’s goal-line technology.

The Premier League want to introduce the technology into the English domestic game as soon as the world governing body approve its use.

At Wembley the goals were fitted with
the necessary calibration equipment, inserted into three holes on the
lower outer edges of each goalpost.

Together with data picked up by a
battery of cameras around the stadium, these allow Hawk-Eye operators to
see whether or not the ball crossed the line in any given incident.

No information from the test was
passed to the referee Peter Rasmussen during the game. The information
was used only for private assessment of how Hawk-Eye’s football
application is shaping up.

England manager Roy Hodgson gave the
test his seal of approval in the run-up to the game, saying: ‘It is
another advance technologically and one which I hope will prove
successful and will at least banish some of the ghosts of the past.

‘I don’t think there are too many
people in football who have too many objections to goal-line technology
because there is nothing worse than losing a game because a goal you
scored has been disallowed when everybody can see afterwards that it was
a goal.’

The International Football
Association Board, in charge of the game’s rules globally, will decide
on July 2 whether or not to allow the use of Hawk-Eye or rival system
GoalRef, a Danish-German project which works through sensors placed
within the ball.

The Premier League provided some of
the initial funding for testing Hawk-Eye’s use in football and are
anxious for the system’s early introduction.

A FIFA spokesman said: ‘We would like
to place on record our thanks to the Football Association for their
willingness to support the live match tests.’

Williams forced to replace 90 per cent of garage infrastructure and reveal new pit procedures for Monaco

|

UPDATED:

19:00 GMT, 23 May 2012

Williams will not be undermined this weekend by the fire that wrecked their Spanish Grand Prix triumph, but have implemented new procedures to ensure there will never be a repeat.

Chief operations engineer Mark Gillan has confirmed the team has worked round the clock over the past few days following the blaze that began just 90 minutes after Pastor Maldonado took the chequered flag in Barcelona to give Williams their first win for seven-and-a-half years.

Gillan has revealed 90 per cent of the garage infrastructure, including everything IT related – radios, intercom equipment and IT storage systems – was destroyed by the fire that began in the fuel-handling area.

Back on track: Pastor Maldonado talks in Monte Carlo

Back on track: Pastor Maldonado talks in Monte Carlo

However, on top of assistance from other teams to help tackle the blaze, their rivals have chipped in to ensure the Grove-based marque can function this weekend, starting with the two 90-minute practice sessions.

Gillan said: 'We've been able to replace pretty much everything. We are certainly fully operational. There are a few things that we don't have, such as an abundance of radios and equipment like that, but it doesn't stop us operationally.

'We've borrowed equipment from other teams as well, so not only did they come to help with the fire, but they made good on their promises of support, and with certain teams we've taken them up on that.

'If you go to our garage you wouldn't know we had had a fire. It's an unbelievable effort from everybody concerned.

'Of course, what happened has hampered our progress and added to what is a busy time, but it won't affect the running of the cars this weekend.

'In reality you can run an F1 car with a laptop if you had to, not that you would want to, but we're back fully operational.

Chaos: Smoke pours out of the Williams garage in Spain

Chaos: Smoke pours out of the Williams garage in Spain

'It's been a struggle, but thanks to a lot of long hours from the people in the factory we're up and running this weekend.'

Behind the scenes, however, and in conjunction with the FIA and the other teams after a meeting of the Technical Working Group last Friday, Williams have new measures in place.

'I spoke to all the technical directors and the FIA to explain what our understanding was and the chain of events that caused the fire which started in the fuel-handling area,' said Gillan.

'The exact cause we're still investigating, but we're liaising with the FIA to ensure procedures, not just within the garage but around the circuit, are improved and something like that doesn't happen again.

'We have to take on board what happened and learn from it, so we have changed things for this weekend and notified the other teams as well.

'I can't say exactly what we've done at this stage, but it is a long list we have issued to the teams and the FIA.'

Drama: Fire broke out in the back of the Williams garage

Given the criticism aimed at the medical and fire authorities at the Circuit de Catalunya for their slow response, other measures are also on the horizon.

'There will definitely be a change to those procedures,' added Gillan.

'We've all agreed a certain level of cover at a circuit. We need to look at the fire and medical support, and undoubtedly things will change as a result.'

Bruno Senna's car, photographed relatively untouched by the fire in the immediate aftermath, still suffered as a result of being covered in extinguisher foam and ash.

'On Bruno's car we lost pretty much every metallic component due to corrosion. The fire took a heavy toll,' said Gillan.

'The actual tub was okay, it was just the metallic bits, so we've had to bring in a lot of new parts.'

From a personnel perspective, the one team member recovering in hospital from burns should be released in around 10 days.

With hopes high for this weekend, Gillan said: 'It was obviously disappointing not to be able to enjoy the win.

'But we come here on the back of a great result and we're really looking forward to this race.'

UPDATED:

12:01 GMT, 18 April 2012

Michael Vaughan led calls to catch thieves who have stolen Ben Hollioake's England cricket property from the late all-rounder's parents' house.

Hollioake, who died in a car crash in his native Perth at the age of 24 in 2002, won two Test caps and 20 in one-day internationals for England.

Police have recovered some of the equipment stolen by burglars after Hollioake's brother Adam this morning alerted the world to a crime which robbed him and his parents of treasured items associated with Ben's tragically short international career.

'Please help find the idiots who have broken into @adamhollioake parents' house and stole Ben's England possessions,' Vaughan wrote.

It is not yet clear exactly which items were stolen in the break-in at the Hollioakes' home in Perth on Tuesday, but Vaughan urged all in Australia and elsewhere to be vigilant in case they appear for sale online or otherwise.

Pietersen tweeted: 'Please help find the idiots who have broken into @adamhollioake parents house and stole Ben's England possessions.'

The equipment includes many ODI shirts, Test and ODI helmets as well as bats, boots and Hollioake's Surrey blazer.
