Premier League return on the cards for Newcastle flop Boumsong

Former Newcastle defender Jean-Alain Boumsong, 32, is in talks over a Premier League return.

He has a year left at Panathinaikos but the Greek club will let him to leave for free.

The Frenchman spent a season on Tyneside between 2005-06, before joining Juventus and then Lyon. He has been in Greece since 2010.

Aston Villa, QPR and Bolton have been offered former Newcastle defender Jean Alain Boumsong.

The 32-year-old has been starring for Panathinaikos but is looking for a return to England after a poor spell at Newcastle under Graeme Souness.
