Wigan manager Roberto
Martinez has told Victor Moses his hands are tied in helping the forward

Chelsea
have already failed with three offers to sign the Nigeria international
— the highest being a 6.5million bid — but Sportsmail revealed last
week how they were preparing a final, 7.5million deal.

Moses has told Martinez he wants to quit the DW Stadium for a return to London.

But
while the Spanish manager is sympathetic, Martinez has explained to
the 21-year-old that he will have to stay put until owner Dave Whelan
agrees a fee.

Wigan rate the player at 10m.

Moses
has a year left on his Wigan contract, but the club will be due
compensation if he leaves on a free transfer next summer because he is
under 24.

Spurs remain interested in Lyon keeper Hugo Lloris, but are wary of Arsenal’s interest.

Van der Vaart has been targeted by Hamburg and Schalke and Sportsmail understands new manager Andre Villas-Boas is prepared to part with the Holland forward for the right price.

A fee of 10m-plus is likely to be enough.

Euro 2012: Ukraine players make over 10m if they win

Ukraine players told they will make over 10m in bonuses if they win Euros

Ukraine players could earn 13 million euros (about 10.57m) in bonuses if they win Euro 2012. They will receive 500,000 euros for each group victory, with 250,000 for a draw.

Making the last eight will earn 2m euros, as will reaching the semi-finals, and the final carries 3m euros with another 4.5m for a win.

That will be a nice incentive for the side who recently lost 2-0 to Turkey in a warm-up friendly.

With his side ravaged by a stomach virus, Oleg Blokhin's team fell behind after Caner Erkin's low shot beat goalkeeper Andriy Pyatov after 30 minutes.

Striker Mustafa Pektemek doubled the score in the 70th minute from a quick counter-attack after the Ukraine offside trap failed.

The defeat came four days after Ukraine's 3-2 loss to Austria in another friendly. In both matches, Ukraine looked vulnerable in defence and powerless in attack.

Perhaps not even the prospect of riches will be enough of a boost to spur them to victory.

A consortium led by Singaporean businessman Bill Ng has withdrawn its bid to take over crisis-club Rangers.

Mr Ng had been quoted in the Singaporean press claiming that London ticketing agency Ticketus had changed the amount it was looking for from 10m to 17m.

In a statement published by the BBC, Mr Ng said the consortium had become 'increasingly frustrated' with the process, as Duff and Phelps have still not named a preferred bidder for the club.

The BBC reported the group had pulled out of the running with 'great regret'. Mr Ng had claimed his consortium would pursue a company voluntary agreement (CVA) route out of administration.

But the 52-year-old added that he could re-launch his bid if administrators fail to strike a deal with other potential bidders.
