Sunderland close in on capture of Fletcher after agreeing fee with Wolves

Sunderland are hoping to clinch a 12million deal for former Scotland striker Steven Fletcher this week.
Wolves have accepted an improved offer for the 25-year-old which could be worth 15m with add-ons.

Fletcher scored 12 goals last season and was the No 1 summer target for Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill, who could be without Stephane Sessegnon for the start of the season.
The Benin midfielder needs a scan on an ankle injured in training.
