Spurs drop England duo Dawson and Huddlestone for Newcastle clash

Andre Villas-Boas has axed England
internationals Michael Dawson and Tom Huddlestone from Tottenham's squad
for Saturday's game against Newcastle.

The news will come as a blow to
England boss Roy Hodgson, who voiced fears earlier this week about the
amount of game-time available to English players in the Premier League.

Tough choice: Andre Villas-Boas

Hodgson will be at Craven Cottage to watch his former club Fulham against Norwich. He will also see Everton against Manchester United on Monday and his assistant Ray Lewington will be at West Bromwich v Liverpool.

Meanwhile, Spurs defender Kyle Naughton has signed a new four-year contract.
