Spurs' Bostock secures loan move to Sheffield Wednesday in bid to kick-start career
Record breaker: John Bostock remains Tottenham's youngest ever player
Tottenham midfielder John Bostock has joined Sheffield Wednesday on loan until the end of the season.
The 20-year-old has made one appearance under Harry Redknapp this term, coming on as a late substitute in Spurs’ 3-0 win over Cheltenham in the FA Cup.
The former Crystal Palace starlet, who was subject of a controversial 750,000 move to White Hart Lane in 2008, has seen his career stagnate since arriving at the club.
In the same year, Bostock became the youngest Tottenham player in history at 16 years and 295 days when he came on as a sub against Dinamo Zagreb in the UEFA Cup.
But after two more European appearances later in the season, he would not feature again for the Premier League side until his introduction against the Robins earlier this month.
Bostock's switch to the League One side, who are chasing automatic promotion, is his third loan move away from the Lane after previous spells at Brentford and Hull.
