United starlet Morrison set to leave Old Trafford after contract talks stall
Teenage prospect Ravel Morrison looks
set for a move away from Manchester United after talks over a new
contract reached an impasse.
The 18-year-old forward is highly
fancied as a star of the future but his early career has been dogged by a
series of off-field problems.
Highly-regarded: but Ravel Morrison's United career has been dogged by personal problems
With his contract due to expire at the end of the season, Morrison has yet to sign a new one and is understood to have told friends and team-mates that he is now looking at possibilities elsewhere.
Contract talks have not been helped by the fact that Morrison recently changed his agent, something that has not gone down well at Old Trafford.
United have not yet given up completely on finding a solution but it is very much the case that Morrison’s problems are beginning to impact on his standing at the club.
Manager Sir Alex Ferguson and chief executive David Gill have done everything they can to help the teenager during a time when he has been in and out of trouble with the police.
