QPR boss Hughes makes 3m move for unsettled Spurs midfielder Pienaar

QPR manager Mark
Hughes is making a
move for Tottenham's
Steven Pienaar.

The South Africa
midfielder has grown
frustrated at his lack
of first-team chances
at White Hart Lane,
and manager Harry
Redknapp is willing to
let him go 12 months
after signing him from
Everton for 2million.

Pienaar, 29, came off the bench for the last 15 minutes against Everton on Wednesday and that could be his last appearance for Tottenham, with Hughes ready to offer 3m.

Hughes remains keen on Blackburn centre back Chris Samba and is hopeful of deals for Chelsea defender Alex and Manchester City's Nedum Onuoha.

However, Onuoha is unsure about leaving the North West while Juventus retain hope of signing Alex.

Meanwhile, QPR are close to a deal with Ealing Council to make Warren Farm their new training HQ.
