Nikica Jelavic has been ruled out for two weeks after sustaining a knee injury in Everton's 2-2 draw with Newcastle on Monday.
The Croatia striker has been on crutches for two days after he collided with a goalpost on Monday evening but fears that he sustained a serious problem have been allayed after he underwent a scan.
He is expected to miss the Barclays Premier League games against Swansea and Southampton, as well as the Carling Cup tie at Leeds.
