Uchebo set for Stoke talks as Pulis closes in on 1m striker
Stoke are closing in on the capture of long-term transfer target Michael Uchebo.
The 21-year-old Nigerian forward, who plays for Dutch club VVV-Venlo, is due at the Britannia Stadium for talks on Sunday.
Uchebo, who is 6ft 5ins tall, has been cleared to spend a few days on trial with boss Tony Pulis and his squad.
Almost there: Michael Uchebo has been on Stoke's radar for several months
The Nigerian Under 20 international, who has also been earmarked for a place in his country's squad at the London Olympics, has been on Stoke's radar for several months.
He will be out of contract in the summer and has made it to clear he will not be signing a new deal, which has made hard-up Venlo keen to get something sorted in the January transfer window.
Previous concerns about obtaining a work permit have diminished and Uchebo is likely to cost in the region of 1million.
