Mario Balotelli has made one last-ditch attempt to ensure he ends the calendar year as the most-talked about Premier League footballer of 2011.
After enthralling drinkers at a local pub in Manchester where he put 1,000 behind the bar as a Christmas treat for the patrons over the festive period, the Manchester City striker appeared in a more sombre mood on Friday judging by the new colour choice for his Maserati GT.

Not content with the sleek white look of his 100,000 car, Balotelli has followed in the footsteps of fellow footballer David Beckham after wrapping his Maserati in matt black.
The 24million striker, who has become notorious for his wild off-field antics, joins a number of Premier League stars to give their car a face lift.
Manchester United star Wayne Rooney, turned his silver 150,000 Range Rover white in January, while Stoke midfielder Jermaine Pennant opted for a chrome look to his Aston Martin DBS earlier this year.
