Radcliffe plots her route to London 2012 gold via Vienna
Olympic hope: Paula Radcliffe
An endorsement from multi-world record holder Haile Gebrselassie has led Britain's Paula Radcliffe to choose Vienna for her big test before this year's Olympic marathon.
The Ethiopian set a men's course record at the OMV half-marathon there last year and sung the praises of a fast course to Radcliffe when they met at the Berlin marathon last autumn.
'Haile said, “You have to run this race”, and I do need a big test before the Games,' said Radcliffe, who will race there on April 15.
Gary Lough, her husband and manager, said Radcliffe will take part in other events before the Olympic marathon on August 5 but not another marathon.
She has spent the last four weeks at high altitude in Kenya training with a British squad including world champion Mo Farah.
After a week at the family home in Monaco she plans more high altitude training in New Mexico.
