Robin van Persie sealed Manchester United's fightback with an 81st minute penalty in a lively clash at Anfield.
On an emotional day on Merseyside, both sides served up a full-bloodied affair that was gripping from start to finish.

Jonjo Shelvey was sent off in the first half for a rough challenge on Jonny Evans, although Steven Gerrard fired the 10 men in front shortly after the break.
However, the lead did not last long as Rafael levelled with a superb strike before Van Persie's grabbed the points for United.
