Pastor Maldonado will start from pole position for today's Spanish Grand Prix after Lewis Hamilton's lap was sensationally scrapped by the stewards following a fuel infringement.

The 2008 world champion will start from last place, with home favourite Fernando Alonso in P2, Sebastian Vettel in seventh, and Jenson Button in 10th.
