Boost for Tottenham as King and Sandro near full fitness after injury
Tottenham duo Ledley King and Sandro are ready to hand manager Harry Redknapp a major boost this week by returning to full training.
And the injured duo still have a chance to be fit for Sunday’s top-of-table showdown against Manchester City.
King is carrying a hamstring injury and has missed Spurs’ last six games, while Sandro has missed three matches with a calf strain.
Boost: Captain King is set to return to full training
But Redknapp hopes to have the pair
back training with the first team this week and has not given up hope of
having them available for the trip to the Etihad Stadium.
The news will be a welcome relief to Redknapp, who has been beset by injury concerns over the last few weeks.
Michael Dawson’s recent return from a long-term Achilles injury has been one bright spot for the Spurs boss.

‘It’s fantastic to be back,’ said Dawson.
‘Being injured is the worst thing
about being a footballer, all the long hours in the gymnasium, the work
on your own, it’s tough.
‘It made it all the more sweet when I returned against Cheltenham in the FA Cup and now I’ve played three games in a week.’
