Stoke winger Pennant questioned by police after car crash

Jermaine Pennant was questioned by police on Sunday night after being arrested following a car crash near his home.
The 29-year-old Stoke City winger was held in custody on suspicion of drink driving and driving while disqualified.
Pennant’s white BMW collided with a silver Audi in the early hours just ten minutes from his luxury mansion in Hale, Cheshire.

A police spokesman said on Sunday night: ‘A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and disqualified driving.
'He remains in police custody for questioning.’
The spokesman added: ‘The driver of the Audi was taken to hospital for treatment.
‘His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.’
