West Bromwich midfielder James Morrison says he is sorry for his gesture to Stoke fans following his goal in Albion's 2-1 win on Saturday.

Morrison celebrated in front of Stoke supporters and gave a fist-pumping gesture which could have been construed as offensive.

The Scotland midfielder said: ‘It was a little bit “heat of the moment” and I didn’t mean anything by it.

'I like to think I’m a nice guy on the pitch, so if anything comes of it I apologise.' The FA are likely to look into the incident on Monday.
