Fabrice Muamba has been invited to the FA Cup Final at Wembley a week on Saturday as a VIP guest after his recovery from a cardiac arrest.

If he accepts, the Bolton midfielder will be in the Royal Box during the clash between Chelsea and Liverpool.

Muamba collapsed on the pitch at White Hart Lane during Bolton's FA Cup quarter-final against Tottenham on March 17. His heart stopped for 78 minutes but medics fought successfully to save his life.

And Muamba's presence at the tournament's showpiece would mark an incredible recovery for the 24-year-old midfielder.

The England Under 21 ace is now at home recovering with his family in Cheshire after being released from the London Chest Hospital last week.

Muamba was back in London on Thursday for check-ups. While he says he finds it difficult to walk any distance without feeling tired, he says he will not rule out playing professional football again.
