Beckham move to PSG in doubt despite Ancelotti being unveiled as club”s new boss
Welcome back: Carlos Ancelotti is back in football, as manager of PSG
David Beckham”s move to PSG was thrown into doubt at the unveiling of Carlos Ancelotti as the Ligue 1″s new manager.
Former Chelsea boss Ancelotti was presented alongside sporting director Leonardo as the replacement for Antoine Kombouare, who has left the club top of the table going into the winter break.
Both men managed Beckham during two successive loan spells at Serie A side AC Milan, but neither would commit to the notion the former England captain was certain to move to Paris next month.
Leonardo said much depended on Beckham”s family, who remain based in Los Angeles following the midfielder”s stint with LA Galaxy, and “it”s not done yet and it might not happen.”

Ancelotti, who admitted to initially being reluctant to move to Paris having courted a job back in England, added: “We want to reinforce the team in January in certain sectors. ButI don”t want to mention names of potential targets.”
Those who thrived under him at Chelsea have also been linked with a switch to the French capital.

However when asked about Didier Drogba and Florent Malouda, Ancelotti added: “I have good relationship with both. But bringing them here is another story. We”ve not spoken about them.”
It is the Italian”s first job since being sacked by the Blues at the end of last season.
Sacked: Antoine Kombouare was dismissed despite PSG”s league position
Kombouare”s place at the helm has constantly been the centre of scrutiny this season despite leading them to the top of the Ligue 1 table at the winter break.
Kombouare oversaw a premature Europa League exit at the group stage, however, and the club”s ambitious new Qatari owners have sought to reinvigorate the capital club with high-profile names.
Ancelotti won a league and cup double with Chelsea in his first season in charge before he was sacked.
The Italian was also a two-time Champions League winner during his decade-long spell at Milan.
