Look who's back… Team GB hopeful Beckham begins pre-season training in LA
He just agreed to play football for LA Galaxy for another two years, shunning Paris winter for Los Angeles sunshine.
But California looked anything but sunny on Monday when David Beckham went through his paces for his first pre-season training session at the Home Depot Center.
The 36-year-old midfielder was drenched in a downpour when he took to the pitch in Carson with his fellow teammates.

The ex-England captain took part in a series of exercises as he bids to maintain his fitness ad convince Team GB boss Stuart Pearce he is in peak condition to lead his squad at this summer's London Olympics.
After agreeing to stay in Los Angeles last week, Beckham admitted: 'I would love to be captain.
'I was lucky enough to captain my country and to lead Great Britain into an Olympics would be special for any player.'
'It's an Olympics in the east end of London, where I grew up, and I am excited about, hopefully, being involved. I've had conversations with Stuart Pearce and as long as I'm fit, healthy and in form, hopefully I have a chance of making the team.'
At one point he did a bit of
resistance training, running forward while a teammate held him back
using a rope that was tied to a belt around his midriff.

Beckham, however, insisted retirement
is far from his thoughts after revealing he turned down offers from
Premier League clubs to stay with the Los Angeles Galaxy.
He said: 'I was offered the chance
(to return to the Premier League), yes, but I'm happy here so that was a
major factor in my decision – my family, my children, and playing for
'That was what I was passionate about.'
Asked which clubs had made him offers, Beckham said coyly: 'One or two.'
'Retirement was never a part of my plans,' he added.

'It had been talked about by other people but it always is when you get to this stage in your career.
'I've not even started thinking about
retirement yet. Last season was such a special season, not just because
we were champions but the way we played and conducted ourselves on and
off the field.
'I could feel a change within the players.'
It's less than a week since David
announced that he has renewed his contract with LA Galaxy, the current
holders of the Major League Soccer (MLS) Cup.
The former Manchester United midfielder turned down an offer to join Paris St-Germain citing family reasons.
