Samba hands in transfer request at Blackburn as manager Kean insists defender is not for sale
Blackburn defender Chris Samba has handed in a transfer request.
Samba, who is wanted by Tottenham, QPR and Paris Saint-Germain, missed Saturday's win over Fulham after calling in sick the previous day.
Rovers boss Steve Kean is determined to keep the 27-year-old centre-half and reiterated on Monday morning that Samba was not for sale.
Rovers and out: Blackburn defender Chris Samba wants to leave Ewood Park
Kean told the Lancashire Telegraph: 'He's not for sale, it's as simple as that. He'll be back in again and hopefully ready for Everton (on Saturday).'
But the player wants out of Ewood Park and said in an interview with L'Equipe last week: 'It is time for a change.'
