Chelsea ramp up interest in Benfica duo as scouts watch Garcia and Oliveira

Chelsea sent scouts to watch Benfica on Saturday – with Javi Garcia and Nelson Oliveira believed to be in their sights.
Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is already a known admirer of former Real Madrid midfielder Garcia, but Chelsea are also said to be weighing up a move for him this summer.
Target: Javi Garcia scored against Chelsea in the Champions League
The 25-year-old Spaniard can play in defence, as well as in his favoured central midfield position. Suitors have sounded out Benfica about a 17million move, but the Portuguese giants are so far insisting they want closer to 25m.
A Barcelona scout was also present at the match against Maritimo, to check on promising Portugal striker Oliveira.
The 20-year-old looks a raw talent but has been used sparingly by Jorge Jesus this season.

He shone at the Under 20 World Cup last year, scoring four goals, and – despite just 11 league appearances this season – made his senior Portugal debut against Poland in February.
Unfortunately for the scouts, Garcia and Oliveira both started Saturday’s match on the bench, playing 27 and 15 minutes respectively.
