Wales lock Bradley Davies will begin his comeback after suspension for Cardiff Blues on Friday night.

Davies was hit with a seven-week ban after being cited for dropping Donncha Ryan to the ground head-first during Wales' RBS 6 Nations victory over Ireland in Dublin on February 5.

It meant Davies missed the tournament remainder as Wales went on to secure their third Six Nations title and Grand Slam in eight seasons.

And he now has a huge job on his hands to regain Test recognition, given that four second-row forwards – Alun-Wyn Jones, Ian Evans, Luke Charteris and Lou Reed – appear to be above him in the Wales pecking order.

Davies features for the Blues against RaboDirect PRO12 opponents Glasgow in Scotland, with Wales backs Leigh Halfpenny and Jamie Roberts also named to start.
