Besiktas are ready to rival Tottenham for Chelsea striker Salomon Kalou.
A Turkish delegation are understood to have held talks with Kalou's representatives in London last week and are ready to offer the 26-year-old a lucrative package to join on a free transfer this summer.
Turkish delight: Besiktas have entered the race to sign Kalou
The Istanbul-based club also want to
try again for Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner, who is unlikely to make
his loan move to Sunderland a permanent one.
Besiktas moved for the Denmark centre forward last summer but he wanted to play in a more competitive league.

Kalou will be in demand this summer and can afford to wait and see what offers come his way.
Tottenham have plenty to consider,
with questions over manager Harry Redknapp and the future of several
players, so may not move quickly.
