Murray passes French test with flying colours as Roger-Vasselin is swept aside
Andy Murray eased into the third round of the Australian Open with a 6-1 6-4 6-4 win over Edouard Roger-Vasselin.
The British No 1 raced into a 5-0 lead before his French opponent finally got himself on the scoreboard.
But Murray was in no mood to hang around and served out the first set in the very next game.
The world No 4 broke in the third game of the second set and, while Roger-Vasselin put up more of a fight, the Scot was rarely troubled.
The third set went with serve until the seventh game when Murray broke and he made no mistake in serving his way to the third round.
The Brit will face another Frenchman when he takes on Michael Llodra.
