Robson closes in on Australian Open spot with comfortable win over Floris
Laura Robson moved to within one win of a place in the main draw at the Australian Open after beating Anna Floris in second-round qualifying.
Robson, 17, was too strong for the Italian, winning 6-3, 6-4 in just 56 minutes and will now meet either Kiki Bertens of Holland or Ukrainian Olga Savchuk.
James Ward also tasted success, impressively overcoming Ivo Minar of the Czech Republic 6-3, 1-6, 6-3.

He will take on Igor Sisling next following the Dutchman's 7-6, (8/6) 6-3 win over Igor Andreev with the winner elevated into the first round proper.
There was disappointment for Naomi Broady, though, after she lost 3-6, 6-2, 6-0 to American Alison Riske.
