Olympiakos target Rosicky as Arsenal prepare for fight over Czech star
Arsenal are facing a fight to keep hold of Tomas Rosicky after it emerged Greek club Olympiakos want to the Czech star next month.
Rosicky has been reduced to a bit-part role at Emirates Stadium and is set to be used even less when injured duo Abou Diaby and Jack Wilshere return by the end of January.
Gunner get going: Arsenal”s Tomas Rosicky is wanted by Olympiakos
Despite his apparent reluctance to use Rosicky on a regular basis, Arsene Wenger wants to keep the versatile 31-year-old at the club until at least the summer.
Olympiakos are not the first team from the continent to express an interest in Rosicky, with Wolfsburg having publicly suggested they too would like to sign him.
Earlier this month, the Wolves boss Felix Magath said: “(Tomas) is a good player, he is fit no question about it. Only a few years ago every top club was after him.”
Rosicky has been dogged by injury since joining Arsenal from Borussia Dortmund in 2006, with a hamstring tendon robbing him of almost 18 months of his career.
