Abou Diaby's latest injury is threatening to rule him out of France's Euro 2012 opener against England.

Diaby has made just five appearances for Arsenal this season, his latest as a substitute against Stoke on Saturday.

The 25-year-old midfielder has struggled with hamstring, groin and calf problems but suffered a thigh strain after coming off the bench in the 1-1 draw at the Britannia Stadium.

The Gunners medical staff will assess the problem on Monday.

France and England meet in Donetsk on June 11 with Sweden and co-hosts Ukraine completing the group.

Diaby made his international debut in 2007 and has 15 caps for Les Bleus.
